Joanne Bridges MCIPR dipCIM

Joanne has around 30 years’ experience in journalism, marketing and PR. A graduate in Business Studies and Modern Languages, and with a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the University of Leeds, she has a solid academic background.

She worked in publishing at the start of her career, writing and editing a number of management journals. Her first agency role was with a full service consultancy in Leeds, where she set up a public relations operation, and was appointed a shareholding director after just four years.

In 1998, Joanne formed Bridges Communications – a consultancy which has flourished and expanded over nearly two decades, and established a particular reputation in the building sector – architecture being a particular passion of Joanne’s.

She has been an active member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations for almost 30 years and served as a Board Director of Business Link York and North Yorkshire for five years.

In 2008, Bridges Communications relocated to Hampshire – giving Joanne more opportunity to pursue her love of sailing!
