Portakabin Introduces CPD Programme for Architects, Contractors and Facilities Managers
Portakabin, the UK's leading modular building specialist, has introduced a CPD programme to help architects, contractors and facilities managers in both public and private sectors improve their understanding of modular construction.
The programme aims to share expertise and help customers and specifiers to procure modular buildings more effectively and to optimise the benefits for each project, whether for permanent or interim use.
Two free hour-long interactive seminars have now been approved and accredited by the RIBA and can be arranged at a time and venue to suit the attendees.
The seminars are:

- What to look for in a modular supplier
- Latest innovations in off-site construction
- Bespoke solutions for specific sectors
- Health and safety
- Environmental impact
- How Off-site Construction is Changing the Face of Modern Britain, covering:
- Improving understanding of off-site construction
- The advantages compared to traditional site-based building methods
- A guide to the modular building process to help procurement.
Commenting on the new programme, Mike Williams, General Manager of Portakabin Hire, said "We have been providing accommodation solutions, in some of the most demanding situations, for nearly 50 years. All attendees at either seminar receive a certificate as proof of attendance, helping to maintain their professional accreditation.
